Believe me, I am Thankful for a multitude of blessings in my life! But still, because of my profession my thought process association goes like this: November/Thanksgiving/holiday season/gatherings and parties/dressing up/baring neck and decollete/oh my!
If you have learned to embrace the increasingly wobbly loose skin of the neck and/or creppy decollete skin (aka decollatage) with ‘expression lines’ from sleeping on your side – you’re a better woman than I am. It’s quite irritating to discover that in all your skin care regimens over the years you neglected these crucial areas. Especially because the skin here is thinner than facial skin and more delicate as a result. We rarely hit the neck with our facial products and many a decollete was left sunscreen-less while we cultivated our sun-kissed healthy images of yester-year.
But do not despair! You don’t have to live in turtlenecks and long sleeves 365 days a year. Most of the top skincare companies have produced effective products to help hydrate and stimulate the delicate skin, as well as new technologies gentle enough to repair the damage of many years.
In our spa we offer YonKa’s Advanced Optimizer Gel Lift, a smoothing and firming gel for neck, decollete and bust. (Be Thankful you don’t live in Europe where everyone goes to the beach topless). In the Epionce line we recommend the Extreme Barrier Cream to our clients who have generally sensitive skin to help in this area. In the Neova line, use of the DNA repair serum is a little miracle worker for all skin thicknesses and sensitivities. Also, PCA Skin has just introduced their new Perfecting Neck and Decollete for which I have a few samples. You are welcome to stop by the spa if you’d like to test these while they last.
The real star is the FSD micro-photofacial treatment series. It is giving results FAST, and is gentle enough to use on the delicate skin of the neck and decollete. We have even designed a 4 week Boot-Camp series especially for this area. See before and after pictures at www.radiancy.com.
